Hello America!

GOP NEEDs YOUR HELP!
The GOP is in trouble! Been very busy opposing the Obama administration and his allies in Congress. But, with No new ideas, No new initiatives, and No clear vision for America, the GOP needs your help! Please tell us what you think the Republican platform should be.
Here is your chance to submit your ideas to AmericanSpeakingOut.com for a better tomorrow! Thanks for participating, and be sure to tell your friends!

S-510 needs to be stopped and if that doesn’t happen the GOP needs to repeal it a.s.a.p in January. It was part of the Agenda 21 (NWO) agenda discussed at the so-called Climate Summit in Cancun in Nov. 2010. The FDA, along with other gov. agencies need to have their talons clipped, not sharpened!
S-510 Another bad deal for Americans.
Approx. 150 pages that authorizes the FDA to dictate how farmers grow fruits and vegetables, including rules governing soil, water, hygiene, packing, temperatures, and even what animals may roam which fields and when. It would also increase inspections of food “facilities” and tax them to do so. The Amish people are already under attack by the Federal Government over the sale of raw milk. I raised my children on raw milk from small farmers in my area and not once was there a problem. As it is with fresh produce that I now buy from truck farmers in our area, it was up to me, not the Federal Government, to determine if I felt the conditions on the farm and the milk were safe for my family.
A perfect example of why the government should not have control of our food supply is what happen to the farmers in Southern California last year. They had to sit beside a cannal filled with irrigation water and watch their crops dry up and the orchards of young almond trees die because the government refused to let them turn the water on their fields. I’m still wondering why the governor or the county sheriff didn’t step in and tell the feds to butt out! In Oregon, radical enviro’s are trying to make the farmers stop tilling their fields because it rasies dust. In farmland! Do Ya THINK?!
They are also trying (or have) stop field burning by the seed farmers. This is necessary and has always been done. Seeds from our farmers are shipped all over the world.
In Eugene, Oregon several years ago, Williams Bakery had to add some type of controls to keep the smell of baking bread from being smelled.
I saw a guy on TV the other night saying, “If you can smell it, you know it has to be bad for you”. I’m not sure what ‘smell’ he was refering to, but this is the mindset of the radical enviro’s that we have to put up with.
There is a mis-conception that Oregon is a ‘Blue’ State, however, if anyone frome the real world would check out the maps on how the voting in Oregon goes, you would see that almost all of Oregon votes Republican. We are basically a state with large rural areas. We could be a very diverse state with farming and ranching, forestry, fishing, wildlife and great opportunities for recreation and still maintain the natural beauty of our state. We always have in the past (pre-enviro’s). Our problem is we are being shut down and locked up by ‘Green’ politicians who are in the pockets of the radical’s on the left. They have built up such a concentration in the Portland, Salem, Corvallis and Eugene areas, that we cannot break their hold because we can’t out vote them..especially with the vote by mail system we have. What a FARCE! The GOP could help us out by eliminating the non-sense, junk science, based Endangered Species Act. Halting the building of a new Motel because of 1 popcorn weed is ludicrous, but it happened. If leaders of the GOP would meet with people like Dr. Arthur Robinson and get a sense of what is going on in our state it would be a huge help.
Having Green leftist represention like Peter DeFazio, backed by the equally Green Leftist US Dept. of Ag. Ken Salazar, who are both in the pockets of the radical Greens in our state, is the same as having no representation at all.
Many of us feel like we are the little people on the speck of dust in the childrens story “Horton Hear’s A Who” shouting at the top of our lungs—”WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE! WE ARE HERE!”.
Are we ever going to be heard?
Does the FDA need more power over our food supply?
According to the new research published in the current edition of the journal Emerging Infectious Diseases, some 16 percent of Americans experience some form of food-borne illness annually—compared to the previous estimate of 25 percent.
How do they know what percentage of these food-borne illnesses are caused by improper handling of food or conditions in the home after the food leaves the stores?
Is the government via FDA going to start inspecting our kitchens and make sure we wash our hands?
Betty, that is exactly their intentions. Not only that, but they are going to come into individual homes and dictate what appliances individuals can use. Then when the individual decides to sell that property, they will dictate what green requirements will be included before allowing the sale. Of course you realize that this is all for the safety and protection of the citizens of this country!!!
From US Action News;
This Dept. of Homeland Security memo outlines how the agency could create a ‘non-legislative version of “amnesty”‘ to offer ‘administrative relief options’ to ‘reduce the threat of removal for certain individuals in the United States without authorization.’
This U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) memo explains how the Obama administration can get around the laws to let illegals stay in the US without ‘threat of removal’.
The memo states that:
‘In the absence of Comprehensive Immigration Reform, USCIS can extend benefits and/or protections to many individuals and groups by issuing new guidance and regulations, exercising discretion with regard to parole-in-place, deferred action and the issuance of Notices to Appear (NTA), and adopting significant process improvements.
‘USCIS could reinterpret two 1990 General Counsel Opinions regarding the ability of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) applicants who entered the United States (U.S.) to adjust or change status. This would enable thousands of individuals in TPS status to become lawful permanent residents.’ [emphasis added]
Translation – Since Obama can’t get amnesty through congress, we can just change the rules to let illegals stay longer and become legal residents.
Read through the memo below to see the myriad of ways suggested to subvert the law and bypass congress to allow longer residency terms for illegals, non-prosecution of illegals and even pathways to citizenship for illegals.
Congress has become irrelevant with the Obama administration.
———————————————————————————————————-
This is a good example of precisely why the kind of under-handed, backdoor, slimeball tactics that this (and all previous) administrations use, have got to be stopped. GOP members of the Senate and Congress should not be participating in this type of backhanded/backdoor politics, nor should they accept it from other party members. Any member of Congress or the Senate, regardless of party, right on down to the President and his czars, should be exposed and held accountable to the American people for going behind Americans backs and pushing their own agenda. Anything else is unacceptable.
Betty, again you are speaking the truth, however truth and justice no longer prevails in our govt., accept for legal citizens. They have every intention to grant illegals access to this country for many reasons. It that were not so, they would not be going ahead with the SPP program. This program calls for doing away with the borders between the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Since the majority of illegals are Mexicans, why bother with chasing them out of the country. They work cheap, will pay taxes and vote Democratic.
What your talking about is the New World Order of Dis-Order. Agenda 21. Other than bringing down America and Canada, what would this accomplish? I don’t understand how anyone in their right mind can even buy the concept of a one government world? Especially under the rule of the ineffective UN. They can’t even pass sanctions or resolutions that work. We should stop giving them money and get them off of our soil.
If the Green bunch weren’t doing so much damage with their NWO agenda, it would be laughable. Maybe they are starting here because they don’t think it’s quite the stretch of the imagination for the United States, Canada and Mexico to blend into their big N. American continent, but can you see the European continent blending into one big Kume-BA-Ya Utopia?
Seriously though, it isn’t a laughing matter. There are alot of people and organizations with big names and big bucks involved in this. Al Gore said during the 2000 campaign, “Now you’ll know me for the man I truely am”. He got that right!
We need to get the Socialists out of our government. They should never be in there in the first place working against our Constitution. I think the best way to do it would be to kick out the green lobbiests, eliminate all rules, regulations (very importantly, the Endangered Species Act which is one of their biggest most effective tools) and agencies and erase their ‘language’ from our laws. When they fail to fulfill their purpose, they would probably get voted out. If not, they would be rendered ineffective.
Maybe the GOP could make this a major focus much like they say JFK and brother Bobby went after the moffia :</
Betty, as you have said, the green agenda is part of the socialist agenda and their members are imbedded in both political parties. Yes indeed there are big names and big money involved with this socialist agenda. When there is little difference in political ideology in both parties, the citizens really have no where to turn or a voice in govt., just as it has been here in the U.S. for the last decade or so. That is why it is so important to bring in a third party of patriots who want to protect and defend our Republic. Right now, they are known as Conservatives and Tea Party members. Whether they will be given enough support by the citizens of this country to halt this attempted take over of our country, remains to be seen.
John,
“Since the majority of illegals are Mexicans, why bother with chasing them out of the country. They work cheap, will pay taxes and vote Democratic.”
If the Mexicans are working cheap what are Americans going to be doing? Laying on the beach in Can Cune? Who’s going to be paying into the welfare/handout programs?
We need to get serious about making our borders secure then like the old movie “Rawhide”—- round ‘em up and move ‘em out!
If profiling, enforcing our immigration laws, going after employers and landlords and cutting them off of government programs is what it takes, then so be it. They would do the same for us if we were in their country illegally. It would even help toward making our elections less corrupt.
Betty I was merely quoting the democrats stance on the illegal issue. In their effort to make this a socialist nation, they need to draw in the nearly thirty million illegal votes in order to maintain control of this govt. They could care less about the citizens of this country who are without jobs. If they did care, they would have spent this last year creating jobs for our own people. Instead, they spent the whole year working at destroying our way of life and socializing our govt.
Recently, I saw in the new where Obama is quietly working behind the scenes to further the SPP program which in the end, will do away with borders between the three countries. The hand writing is on the wall and it won’t be long before this country becomes part of the North American Union. That is unless the citizens of this country wake up and put a stop to it!!!
I’m wondering why the first ones the government took aim at with the Health Care Bill and spending problems is the Senior citizens. Reducing our care, our services and our income. It was the government that stole the money from social security, not the seniors. I suggest, they use the unspent stimulus money to pay it back to the ones they stole it from and return social security to the ‘Trust’ it was suppose to remain in when it was set up.
Instead of Senior Citizens being portrayed as a drain on the American economy, I wish someone would start looking at what senior’s contribute. Pelosi said unemployment is the answer to putting money into the economy? What about the money Seniors citizens put back into the economy? Seniors travel more often because they can go without taking time away from work. They do shopping for family members and even more so when parents are strapped for funds because of the cost of raising their families or loss of jobs. Many Grandparents are supporting their children or raising their grandchildren. They are a rich source for volunteer work. They contribute to charities and to local projects. In normal times, they are not as likely to be squirreling money away for their retirement, but are more likely cashing in the money they are receiving from their retirement plans and spending the money they receive from the social security they have paid into all of their lives: spending it on some of the things they put off until retirement. The money they receive (including social security) is being put back into the economy.
I know it’s true in our city and if you look back at pictures of the first (New) Tea Party, You can see that the biggest percentage of the people willing to get involved are seniors or close to becoming seniors. Why? Because they are aware of history. They fought in the wars. They remember what people went through under dictators like Lenin and Hitler and the warning by Nikita Krusheiv about Communism taking over the US without firing a shot. They can see how it is becoming a reality. They remember what the United States and our Constitution are suppose to be about. They are concerned about the downhill direction of our country, not for themselves but for their children, grandchildren and for the future generations of our country.
Pay us back. Make your money back by downsizing the bloated size and scope of the government. We shouldn’t have to pay for government greed.
Betty, no truer words spoken. You forgot to add that this current Administration is talking about cutting back on SS payments as well and confiscating the 401 and IRA accounts that those seniors have been paying into throughout their working careers. That money is also taxed as income when received by the seniors and it is taxed as income when it is withdrawn from the retirement accounts. No telling how much earning power was lost with the money that was taken for S/S as the interest did not even amount to the lending rate. Then it is kept by the government when the senior passes on and not placed into their estate. I would call that grand theft for lack of a better word at the moment.
John, I guess I could have added too that the Federal government seems to forget that they are not the only ones with their hands in the fixed income pockets of Seniors. Out of the money that retired seniors pay as part of their continuing though seemingly un-noticed ‘contributions to society’ are property taxes, licence fees on cars, trucks, utility trailers, camp trailers or RV’s, taxes and added charges on our utilities, sales taxes on food and other purchases, gas taxes, and whatever other taxes, fees, fines, service charges, etc that we are expected to pay out of our Golden Years funds.
(2 seniors/2 BR house w/wood heat)
Our current electric bill includes:
(house) 753 kwh
Basic Charge – 1P
Delivery charge
Oregon Tax Charge
Supply Service Energy (1st Blk)
Public Purpose
Energy Conservation Charge
Low Income Assistance
JCBoyle Dam Removal Surcharge
Copco Iron Gate Dams Removal Surcharge
(both Dam removal surcharges are taxes forced on us by our governor by ‘Executive Order’ to further his Green agenda)
(My husbands hoby shop) 66kwh
Basic Charge – 1P Sec. Delivery
Delivery Charge Secondary
Oregon Tax Charge
Supply Service Energy 2nd Blk
Supply Energy Sec 1st 3000Kwh Public Purpose
Energy Conservation Charge
Low Income Assistance
JC Boyle Dam Removal Surcharge
Copco Iron Gate Dams Removal Surcharge
We are paying over $90 a month for approx $30 worth of electricity and our Green governor is taxing us to take out dams that provide clean, efficient, plentiful electricity and is putting up big ugly windmills that are not only an eye sore, but are less efficient and for us, much more expensive. What kind of sence does that make?
Our water bill for the current month: (water is pumped from the river that runs through our town)
Water Charge
Base Charge
Service charge $20
Surcharge $20– (this charge use to be an Association Water District Fee, but the city took over our water association and left the fee in place. They said it is because we live outside of the city limits and use their streets and sidewalks but don’t pay city taxes.
Our bill, over $80 for approx $30 worth of water. In other words a case of Grand Theft by our local government. Where does it stop?
Unlike Congress, we don’t make $175,000 a year give ourselves the power to vote ourselves raises and we don’t have a huge retirement package that we give ourselves.
These people are either so out of touch with the reality of what life in real America is like or they are all birds of a feather regardless of party posturing and they just don’t care.
If the way things have gone on during the lame duck session is any indication, as far as I’m concerned it’s time to just get them all out and start over.
“Prudence, indeed will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
Are we there yet?
I wish from time to time, someone from American Speaking Out would respond or leave messages on this site to let us know that our concerns are being looked at and that we are not just wasting our time on here.

SENATE REPUBLICANS JOIN DEMOCRATS TO PASS FOOD “SAFETY” BILL
12-20-2010 4:13 pm – Sarah Foster – NewsWithViews.com
The Democrats are at it again, this time under the cover of Sunday Night. The infamous food “safety” bill that health freedom activists and their allies assumed was out for the session, has come blazing back to life from its near-death state late Sunday, thanks to a sell-out by Senate Republicans.
That’s right. S. 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act was stuck into a shell bill and passed unanimously just before the Senate adjourned for the day.
As reported by the Washington Post: “After a weekend of negotiations, tense strategy sessions and several premature predictions about the bill’s demise, [newly re-elected and confident] Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid, D-Nev., reached a deal with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., that the GOP would not filibuster. [added]
“Without notice and in a matter of minutes Sunday evening, the Senate approved the bill by unanimous consent, sending it to the House, where passage is expected. President Obama has said he would sign the legislation, which would give the government far-reaching authority to set and enforce safety standards for farmers and food processors.”
“This reaffirmed my faith in democracy,” said Jean Halloran, director of food policy initiatives at Consumers Union – one of several non-profit groups that originated and spear-headed the legislation. “We were getting ready for a last-ditch effort . . . and they just went ahead and passed it, like they should have.”
And it wasn’t as if this was done without their being aware. As reported by Food Safety News, the Senate action came as a surprise – particularly because no Republican objected to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s request for his colleagues to pass the food safety bill by unanimous consent.
“No one objected, not even Republican Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn,” the newsletter observed.
Not surprisingly, Harry Reid, D-Nev., was overjoyed.
“Tonight we unanimously passed a measure to improve on our current food safety system by giving the FDA the resources it needs to keep up with advances in food production and marketing, without unduly burdening farmers and food producers,” Reid said in a statement.
Let’s stop for a minute to recap. As NewsWithViews.com reported, the Senate passed the controversial Food Safety Modernization Act (S. 510) in late November, but it ran into a constitutional roadblock in the House when someone noticed it contained a revenue-raising provision – a constitutional “no-no” since revenue-raising provisions must originate in the House. This has been dismissed by the media as a mere technicality or “House rule,” but it’s a constitutional matter of no small import. It basically meant the House could not approve the bill as written.
Had the senators – all of whom swear to uphold the Constitution — ever bothered to read the document and familiarized themselves with its contents, the problem would not have arisen.
But they didn’t, or hadn’t , and suddenly the bill was in limbo on the House side. What to do? Easy. The bill was simply attached to the Continuing Resolution – approved — and the combo sent over to the Senate, where the entire package was attached to a humongous appropriations bill.
For reasons not fully explained, but perhaps to move on to the next issue – like the DREAM Act or the START Treaty — Sen. Harry Reid decided to kill the spending bill, and that took out the Continuing Resolution as well as the Food Safety bill.
So that’s where it’s been. You might say it was comatose. Its opponents relaxed their guard assuming it was dead. A Big Mistake.
OK – Mistakes happen. What isn’t easy to explain is the GOP sell-out, and there’s just no other way to describe it. Where was Sen. Coburn? Sen. Jim DeMint? What was going on there. What deals were cut? What promises were made.
I hope that Senate Republicans have some answers tomorrow. Meanwhile, I can’t help but wonder why we worked so hard to keep these guys and gals in D.C. and get new ones elected.
Over the past two years media commentators and reporters have wondered about the Tea Partiers’ apparent lack of trust in government and why they denounce Republicans as often as they do Democrats.
Sunday’s performance on the Senate floor is your answer.
The above articles depict exactly the kind of politics the American people are saying we want stopped. Senate or Congress, it makes no difference. Clean up your act or go home.

FREEDOM TAKES ANOTHER HIT FROM THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: THE FCC VOTES TO CONTROL THE INTERNET BY A 3 TO 2 VOTE
12-21-2010 10:21 pm – John W. Wallace
The Federal Communications Commission has just voted themselves new unconstitutional powers to control the internet. With the three Democrats voting in favor of the new rules, and the two Republican commission members voting against them, the vote marks a major victory for FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, who has spent more than a year trying to craft this unconstitutional power grab.
Mr. Genachowski actually believes that more government regulation will increase the “freedom” of online services that have flourished only because bureaucratic busybodies like the FCC have been blocked from tinkering with the Web. Let us hope that these new unconstitutional rules face intense scrutiny from the new congress, once Republicans take over the House.
Known as “net neutrality,” the rules will prohibit phone and cable companies from favoring or discriminating against Internet content and services, such as those from rivals. In addition, the regulations will prohibit wireless carriers from blocking access to any websites or competing applications such as Internet calling services on mobile devices, and require them to disclose their network management practices, too.
Genachowski said the new FCC regulations will prohibit broadband providers from abusing their control over the on-ramps that consumers use to get onto the Internet. He said the companies won’t be able to determine where their customers can go and what they can do online.
“Today, for the first time, we are adopting rules to preserve basic Internet values,” Genachowski said. “For the first time, we’ll have enforceable rules of the road to preserve Internet freedom and openness.”
The two Republicans on the FCC are worried that the rules will discourage phone and cable companies from continuing to upgrade their networks by making it difficult for them to earn a healthy return on their investments. They also insist that the regulations are intended to fix a problem that does not exist, as all the major broadband providers have already pledged not to discriminate against Internet traffic on their networks.
Thankfully, some Republicans on Capitol Hill have vowed to try to block the new regulations. Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas, the top Republican on the Senate Commerce Committee, plans to introduce a “resolution of disapproval” to try to overturn what she called “troubling regulatory overreach by the FCC.”
Robert McDowell, one of the FCC’s Republican members, predicted that the FCC will face court challenges to its regulatory authority, too. Back in April of 2010, a federal appeals court ruled that the FCC had exceeded its existing authority in sanctioning Comcast Corp. for discriminating against online file-sharing traffic on its network — violating broad net neutrality principles first established by the FCC in 2005. Those same principles serve as a foundation for the formal regulations adopted on Tuesday.
It’s not clear under what law Mr. Genachowski thinks he can stick his big nose into the businesses that comprise the Internet. The FCC regulates broadcast television and radio because the government granted each station exclusive access to a slice of the airwaves. Likewise when Ma Bell accepted a monopoly deal from Uncle Sam, it came with regulatory strings attached.
No such rationale applies online, especially because bipartisan majorities in Congress have historically insisted on maintaining a hands-off policy. A federal appeals court confirmed this in April by striking down the FCC’s last attempt in this arena. “That was sort of like the quarterback being sacked for a 20-yard loss,” FCC Commissioner Robert M. McDowell told The Washington Times. “And now the team is about to run the exact same play. … In order for the FCC to do this, it needs for Congress to give it explicit statutory authority to do so.”
Freedom and openness should continue to be the governing principles of the Internet. That’s why Mr. Genachowski’s new rules must be rejected and Congress should make it perfectly clear that the FCC should stop trying to expand its regulatory empire without any constitutional or regulatory authority to do so
Regarding above article on FCC takeover: We expect Congress to put a stop to this.
“In order for the FCC to do this, it needs for Congress to give it explicit statutory authority to do so.”
Freedom and openness should continue to be the governing principles of the Internet. That’s why Mr. Genachowski’s new rules must be rejected and Congress should make it perfectly clear that the FCC should stop trying to expand its regulatory empire without any constitutional or regulatory authority to do so”
Betty, the real reason for this attempt by the FCC is to take control of the airways so that the conservative movement can be stopped. They are already trying to force equal time with radio programming and one way or another will eventually cut conservative communications. There is absolutely no other reasons that they would be doing this.
The House can pass legislation to stop the FCC and also cut funding if legislators have the courage to do so. The Senate might not go along with it, but if there is no funding for the FCC they will have to back down.
I agree. The only question is, will Congress put a stop to it? Are they going to have the backbone to go as far as need be to put us permanantly on a solid footing?
Any agency that has the power that the FCC aparently feels it has, is to big and has to much control. The defunding should extend deep enough to cut out the big buraucracy and trim the FCC down to a size just large enough to do the job it is meant to do.
There are any number of government agencies that need the same type of deep down-sizing or to be cut out altogether. The US is top heavy to the point of toppling over.
If the GOP is serious about getting the size and scope of government under control, bloated, intrusive over-regulating, expensive agencies like the FCC, FDA, EPA, DEQ, IRS, DOT, DOE, HLS (to name a few) would be a good place to start. While tax reductions here and there, not adding more taxes, rolling taxes back or freezing them for a few years along with not adding more debt will help, they are only temporary fixes. Our problems are bigger than temporary fixes. I’m sick to death of hearing them talking about it not being right to raise taxes when “the economy is down.” Wrong is wrong no matter when or where it occurs or what the economy is like. America thrives when Americans prosper.
Cutting the size and scope of the government will not only make Americans happier and more productive, Fewer parasitic government Bureacrats, agencies and government employees will automatically lower the price of running the government. Fewer mouths to feed.
Betty you are talking about two different important issues here. First, if the FCC follows through with their plans, it will be the end of free speech here in the U.S. The media then will be the mouth piece for the Socialist govt.
Secondly, this country is bankrupt period. We can raise taxes or cut them to whatever level and still could not recover from the massive debt that this govt., has incurred. When you have an out of control Fed that has absolutely no oversight or control, it doesn’t matter how much money you raise. They can print whatever they want regardless of what anyone says. Add to this fact, a Congress that refuses to acknowledge the need for a balanced budget and there is but one result, bankruptcy!
I really don’t know any way out of the financial mess we are in without declaring a year of Jubilee. Because our nation is run by secularist, that action is out of the question. The only other way that one could surmise, is to bankrupt the nation and then join a Union and in the process come up with a new standard of currency, like the American Amero, which is exactly what the members pushing for the North American Union are advocating. I do believe there are more leaders in the world involved in this plan of action and that is why there is so much talk about dropping the U.S. dollar as the world currency. When that happens, the U.S. will be totally bankrupt and so will all of it’s citizens. At that point in time, they will be willing to accept anything that is offered to them in the way of survival.
Now we know who the siesnble one is here. Great post!
ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE COSTING US 10 MILLION JOBS. Thats 10 % of our workeforce of 110 million. Is it any wonder that we have 9% unemployment. Most illegal workers come here to earn money to send home. For every jobs worth of $ sent out by an illegal, FIVE(5) americans are put out of work because, the illegal takes one job ( 1.0 job lost) away from an american who would have spent 80% of his income ( after 20% tax) for goods made by other americans ( another 0.8 job lost) who would also have spent 80% of their earnings for goods made by more americans ( another 0.8×0.8 jobs lost), etc. 1.0 + 0.8 + 0.8×0.8 + 0.8×0.8×0.8+ – - – = 5 american jobs lost for every jobs worth of $ sent out by illegals. if half the 10 million illegals send half of their earnings out of the US, thats 2.5 million jobs worth of $ sent out which RESULTS IN 12.5 MILLION AMERICAN JOBS LOST. THIS DRAIN ON OUR AMERICAN JOBS MUST BE STOPPED!!
HOW TO GET ILLEGAL WORKERS TO GO HOME. Tehre are several ideas on how to do this. We could ” round them up and send them home”.. We could prosicute millions of employers of illegals. [ sounds expensive to me]. We could make it illegal for non citizens to send ( transfer or take) money out of the US by ( a) no money transfers, (b) no money orders to non citizens, (c) no bank accounts to illegals, (d) scanners to detect cash being sent out via mail, etc. IF NON CITIZENS CAN’T SEND MONEY OUT ( which is the reason most are here) most will go home. Perhaps a combination of these would fix the problem.
I also wonder how many jobs worth of $ are sent out of the US by our 75 million foreign born citizens. Could this be costing us another 10-15 million jobs?
Correction. There are about 40 million foreign born CITIZENS living in the US, not 75 million. However, the fundimental problem identified in the post is unchanged.
Over 50 % of all americans are receiving entitlements including seniors and children. About 40% of anults 20-65 and receiving entitlements. Obama wants add more entitlements. WE SIMPLY MUST TAKE CONTROL OF THE HOUSE ,SENATE AND PRESIDENCY IN 2012 IF WE ARE TO REVERSE THE TREND AND SAVE THIS COUNTRY FROM THE FATE OF GREC.E.
Our present IMMIGRATION PRACTICES WILL DESTROY OUR COUNTRY as we know it today because, with our 40 million existing foreign born citizens plus a continuation of our 1.2 million legal immigrants/year, 375 million people will be added to the U S population by the year 2100. The native born citizenry ( 260 million) is just sustaining its numbers, HENCE, BY THE YEAR 2100, the U S population will be approximately 260 +40+152 +225 = 677 million. [ see (A), (B), and (C) below for analysis].
OUR ECONOMEY SIMPLY CANNOT GROW FAST ENOUGH TO ACCOMODATE THIS POPULATION EXPLOSION. Our social security system will be wiped out several times over. We must (1) cut our legal immigrations to 0.25-0.5 million/year, (2) End our INSANE PRACTICE of granting citizenship to babies born in the US to non citizens, ( 3) establish and ENFORCE requirements that immigrants must be able to sustain themselves without handouts from federal, state or local governments, and (4) absolutly no amnesty to illegals ( which would further increase the population growth).
(A) POPULATION GROWTH due EXCLUSIVLY to the existing 40 million ( per US Census Bureau) foreign born citizens (no illegial aliens included and no future immigrants included) will GROW THE U S POPULATION BY 152 MILLION BY THE YEAR 2100. HERES WHY. Assuming a uniform 0-75 age distribution, the number between the ages of 0-20 who will reproduce is 40 x ( 20/75) = 10.6 million. Per the U S Census bureau, the birth rate of the foreign born is 3.0/female.( i e 3.0 per couple). The 10.6 million will live to age 75 and each offspring of each succeeding generation ( 20 years/generation) will reproduce at the same rate. Hence EACH PAIR OF THE 10.6 MILLION result in a population increase of 3 ( in 1st 20 yrs) + 4.5 ( in 2nd 20 yrs) + 6.75 ( in 3rd 20 yrs) + 9.12 (in 4th 20 yrs, 2 deaths included) + 8.3 (during the final 10 yers) = 29 people added by 2100. Multiplying 29 people added/couple x 10.6/2 couples = 152 million people added by 2100..
(B)If we CONTINUE to allow 1.2 million LEGAL IMMIGRATIONS/YR (as in the past few years) the resulting increase in population by the year 2100 will be an ADDITIONAL 225 million due exclusivly to these future immigrants, HERE’S WHY.Assuming a uniform 0-75 age distribution of the immigrants there will be 1.2 million x 20/75 = 0.32 million/yr whose lineage will multiply by the same progression as in (A) resulting in a population growth of 5.9/couple ( 3.9 births + 2 initial immigrants) in 80 years, 4.28 in 60 years, 3.2 in 40 years, 2.48 in 20 years..Add up the number of people added in 2100 by adding the 80 numbers associsted with the growth by 2100 due to each of the prior 80 years. The RESULT IS AN ADDITIONAL 225 MILLION PEOPLE by 2100 due exclusivly to 1.2 million future legal immigrants/year.
(C) Per the US census bureau, the birth rate among our present native born citizenry ( i e 260 million) is very nearly 2.0/couple. This rate will not result in an increase in this segment of the population. Hence This segment of the population will remain at 260 million by year 2100.. In light of (A) and (B) above, and the expected racial makeup of present and future immigrants ,this means that, before the year 2100, the U S population will be predominantly ” minority “
